Turkey Harvest up in Northwest Missouri

Totals from this spring's turkey season show it was a good year for Missouri hunters.

Over 40,400 turkeys were checked state wide which is an increase of over 2,000 from last spring. Holt County Conversation Agent Russ Shifflett says hunters in Northwest Missouri reported similar results.

Shifflett says the only county in Northwest Missouri showing a decrease from last year is Andrew County,which had an unusually high number of turkeys taken in 2011
