Teen Summer Program

St Joseph Public Libraries are celebrating the beginning of summer Teen Reading Programs.

Incoming 7th through 12tht grade students are invited to register for the program by visiting one of the participating branches. Carnegie Branch Manager, Audrey Sheets says each student registered is challenged to finish a total of nine books during the summer for a chance to win prizes.

Carnegie Library, located at 316 Massachusetts street in St.Joseph, Missouri, will be hosting their kickoff party Wednesday, at 6pm until 8pm.

East Hills Library, located at 502 North Woodbine next to the East Hills Shopping Center, will be hosting their kickoff party Monday May 21st. The kickoff party will being at 6pm until 8pm. The party includes the movie Tooth Fairy 2, Pizza and refreshments and opportunities to win prizes. The program encourages teens to continue reading throughout the summer in an easy and fun way.
