Party on the Parkway

An annual summer concert series kicks off this week in St. Joseph.

Parties on the parkways is put on by the St. Joseph Chamber and features local bands every second Thursday in the months of May through September. St. Joseph Chamber's vice president of number relations and coordinator of parties on the Parkway Natalie Redmon says they move the venue of the party each month, starting at the south end and moving north.

This week Steve Fuller's Dixie Union Band will perform country music at Southwest Parkway and King Hill Drive near Benton High School. All parties on the Parkway are from 5:00 p.m. ~ 8:00 p.m. This year attendees can pick up a party passport which if stamped for 3 of the 5 events the passport holder will qualify to win prizes at the end of the series.
