Work zone signs have been placed on Highway 36 for a large project coming next month. 

The Missouri Department of Transportation has commissioned the cold milling and resurfacing of the westbound lane of U-S highway 36 from route 31 in Buchanan county to southwest taylor road in DeKalb county. The three month long project along the five mile stretch of highway 36 was bid at just over two million two hundred twenty three thousand dollars. Work set to begin on June 14th and conclude by September 15th.
