The Missouri Department of Transportation is closing part of Highway 71 in Nodaway County for a four to five week bridge replacement.

Today the White Cloud Branch bridge, four miles north of Maryville will close all lanes of traffic as crews begin replacing that bridge. Motorists will be redirected to use the detours over route 148 and route B. Currently in Nodaway County the Route VV bridge over Long Branch is closed and the Route A Elkhorn Creek bridge near Maitland will close later in June.
