Maryville City Council honors Maryville resident

A Maryville man was honored by the Maryville City Council last night for his actions on May 6th to save another person's life.

Maryville Public Safety Director Keith Wood says Karl Wilmes showed great courage when coming up on a burning vehicle at the intersection of 290th and Liberty Drive.

Wilmes was presented a plaque from Maryville Public Safety Fire Division Lieutenant Phil Rickabaugh honoring him for his courageous actions.
