An ATC accident early morning Saturday sent one man to a Kansas City hospital via lifeflight.

Investigated by Troop H Highway Patrol with assistance from a Trooper A officer and the Livingston County Sherrif's office say the exact time of th incident is unknown. According to the Highway patrol 46 year old Gilbert Romesburg of Meadville was heading southbound on LIV 269 5 miles east of Chula. Romesburg failed to negotiate a curve on the gravel roadway going off the left side of the road down an embankment and into a creek landing on its wheels. Romesburg was flown by lifeflight helicopter to St. Lukes Hospital in Kansas City in serious condition. He was not wearing protective head gear.
