Green Hills Cooling Assistance

The Green Hills Community Action Agency in Trenton will soon begins its Cooling Assistance Program.

The program provides cooling help to many households in northern Missouri who cannot afford air conditioning in the summer. Energy Services Director for Green Hills, Terri Henderson, says the main focus of the program is to save lives by avoiding heat exhaustion due to lack of electricity.

The program is available to those who have already applied for energy assistance in the winter, but new applicants can complete a program application beginning June 1st. Applications are available online at www.ghcaa.org.
