Fly Fish Class

Northwest Missouri State University students could earn college credit to learn outdoor and fly fishing skills this summer.

The Department of Health and Human Services at Northwest is offering the three credit hour Fish and Float class this July 5 th through the 18th. The course teaches the basics of fly fishing , canoeing, camping, hiking and outdoor safety before the class leaves on a nice day trip to a US mountain range. Northwest Department of Health and Human Services instructor and instructor for the Fish and Float class Bryan Dorrel says this class gives students the opportunity to earn college credit while taking an outdoor vacation.

In addition to the cost of the course participants will need an extra 500 dollars to cover travel expenses and equipment such as fly rod light backpack and sleeping bag. Interested students should register by Wednesday June 20th. For more information you can contact Dorrel at 660-562-1298.
