Chad Jackson resigns Maryville City Council

Maryville City Councilman Chad Jackson announced his resignation from the City Council this week as he will be leaving the community for a new job in San Antonio, Texas.

Jackson has been on the Maryville Council for eight years, serving four of those as Mayor. Jackson says one of the highlight's of his eight years was the passage of a capitol improvement tax for Maryville.

Jackson also says the Trails project for Maryville is another project he was pleased to work on during his eight years on the Council. Jackson leaves Maryville to become the Director of Professional Practice Education at the University of Incarnate Word's School of Physical Therapy. Jackson's current term on the Council expires next April the Maryville City Council has the authority to appoint a resident to fill out the remaining 10 month's of Jackson's term.
