Turkey Season Opens

Today is the open of turkey season in Missouri.

Holt County Conservation agent Anthony Maupin says because of last summer's floods, turkeys may tend to congregate in the hills now, although he says he's hearing reports of several sightings in the river bottoms. Maupin says the warm spring has timber undergrowth higher this year than normal, which means more care should be taken when hunting this season.
