Teacher Certification

Two information sessions are being held in Maryville this week to recruit teachers from those looking for a career change.

The American Board provides about 8 months of training, then residents can take a test to become alternatively certified to teach in the local schools. Missouri Teacher Certification specialist Amanda Brown says the program is a win-win for schools, especially in rural Missouri.
