St. Joseph Bond

St. Joseph schools officials are taking steps for the future after voters passed Tuesday's 42 million dollar bond issue.

That will build 2 new schools and begin air conditioning upgrades in the elementary schools. The primary focus is on the 16 aging elementary schools. Hall school will be torn down and rebuilt. A northeast elementary school will also be built in the northeast area of the city that does not already have an elementary school. Superintendent Dr. Melody Smith says the bond is extremely important.
