April 16, 2012ST. JOSEPH, MO | By: Wayman
The St. Joseph Fire Department this morning has canceled the opening burning.
Sustained high winds have prompted the open burn ban. The forecast today calls for winds in St. Joseph and our region to be about 20 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 26 miles per hour. The winds are supposed to return to normal tomorrow, then rise again on Wednesday to gusts of 21 miles per hour. Because of the forecast, again, residents of St. Joseph are being prohibited from open burning until further notice.
