Maryville Sewer Rates

Maryville voters approved the wastewater bond issue by a 6 to one margin.

The good news: they shouldn't see a rate increase from it until next summer. That's according to the city's public works director C.E. Goodall. He says even though the multi-million dollar bond issue had to pass, it's the best option for residents because other alternatives would have raised bills by considerably higher amounts.

The bonds will build an updated treatment facility north of the existing one and will put Maryville within federal requirements for wastewater disposal.
