A north central Missouri farm family is taking advantage of the state's low interest loan program to expand their operation.
Jason and Vanessa Taggart of Gillman City are using the Missouri linked deposit program through the state and the partner BTC bank to get a $192,000 loan to purchase land in Harrison County. They plan on using it for their corn, soybean, and cattle operation. By using Missouri linked it's estimated they will save about $19,000 over the next 5 years. Statewide, the Missouri program has lent 985 million dollars since it's began, impacting more than $16,000 jobs and farmers.
