A board of regent member at the University of Maryville has resigned upon the end of his term.
Bill Loch has served 6 years on the governing board at Northwest Missouri State, heading up the search for the university's current 10th president. Loch has continued serving even though his term officially expired in January because his successor has not yet been named by the governor. That's a common practice among outgoing regents. However Loch decided to formally resign, saying he wished to put his full attention to his business and personal life. The 8-member board of regents now has 5 members serving, as it awaits appointments by the governor to fill 3 member's expired terms.
