Film Festival

An independent film festival kicks off the weekend tomorrow afternoon in Maryville.

It's the second annual "Main Street Film Fest", put on by budding directors from the university. This years festival includes projects and shorts ranging from documentaries, thrillers, Sci-fi, comedy, and romantic dramas. Festival coordinator Clayton Scott says he started the event to shine a spotlight on local creative filmmaking talents.

Maryville's Main Street Film Fest is at the Hanger Theater tomorrow starting at 3:30 and running until about 6:30.
