5 more employees are being let go at Northwest Missouri State University.
The president says it's a result of a changing landscape in higher education, referring to a trend of shrinking state budget support to Missouri's colleges and universities. The 5 employees are all managers or supervisors of the environmental services division at the Maryville university, which oversees facility and grounds maintenance. This brings the total number to 25 of the employees at the university who have been told of their positions being eliminated or merged.
