Brookfield School Tax

Brookfield voters will vote on a proposition to raise the school district's operating tax ceiling tomorrow.

If voters approve proposition two the ceiling will increase by $0.90 cents. Brookfield schools superintendent Dr. Paul Barger says the district has made cuts in response to reduced state funding.

Barger says the school board wants voters to have input before further budget cuts were made. He adds the tax rate ceiling has not increased since 1987.
