Youth Seatbelt

The St. Joseph Police Department and other law enforcement agencies will participate in the youth seat belt enforcement campaign.

The campaign lasts today until the end of March. Traffic unit supervisor Sergeant Richard Ketchum says they will be stopping cars for any traffic violation.

Ketchum also says that 80% of teens killed in traffic accidents were not wearing a seat belt. Again that Youth Seat Belt campaign starts today and ends March 31st.
