Stanberry School Meeting

The Stanberry School Board approves several new hires.

Mindy Ray will serve as the R-2 junior high english teacher. She will be replacing Debbie Nickell who has announced her retirement. Ray Began her teaching career in Kirksville and has taught in Bowling Green and Plamyra. Besides teaching language arts in the 8th through 10th grades, she will also be coaching junior high softball. The Stanberry board has also hired Janet Gard as the pre-school teacher. Ellen Hailey, who currently teaches foreign language, will be full time next year in that position and serving as the Stanberry speech implementer. And Jill Lockhart, who is retiring, will be serving part time in the gifted program. The Stanberry district still has openings for head varsity and junior high wrestling and assistant varsity wrestling coaches. The board plans on reviewing those openings at a later board meeting.
