The first few months of 2012 have been deadly in regards to traffic fatalities, despite a decrease over the last 6 years, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
So far, Missouri has experienced 29 more fatalities than at this point last year, and two thirds of those fatalities involved people not wearing a seat belt. Colonel Ron Replogle, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol urges that drivers "Give their full attention to driving, and remember that seatbelts can and do save lives."
