Mind Murals

An annual event in St. Joseph connecting Missouri Western, the St. Joseph Community and St. Joseph Public Schools takes place this weekend.

Murals for Minds is the project put on by the student government association at Missouri Western. This year the Riverbend Treatment Center, a residential facility operated by the division of youth services within the department of social services is receiving the outer overhaul. The Murals will be sketched on the wall by Missouri Western art students then volunteers will paint by number to finish the Mural. The riverbend Treatment Center is located at 5910 Mitchell Avenue in St. Joseph doors open Saturday morning at 9. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
