Girl Scouts Science

Northwest Missouri State will host a science workshop for girl scouts this Saturday.

Girl scout troops from Northwest Missouri will be able to participate in various science experiments. Girls from ages 5 to 15 are able to participate in the first annual science day to earn a science badge. Assistant professor of geology Dr. Aaron Johnson says this event will help girls with their development of science.

The first annual science day is hosted by the Sigma Gamma Epsilon national honor society for earth science. The event will be Saturday with morning sessions starting at 8:30 and afternoon sessions at one in the Garrett-Strong Science Center at Northwest Missouri State University.
