Car Break-Ins

The burglaries continue in Maryville.

Public Safety reports 4 new larcenies, this time from vehicles. This follows a rash of house and car break-ins starting on February 5th and running through this month. The most recent round of car break-ins includes 2 reports in the 500 Block of North Dewey in Maryville, also in the 200 Block of Park Avenue and the 1900 Block of North Grand Avenue. Public Safety lieutenant Ron Christian says electronics seems to be some of the targets.

Several of the thefts have apparently been overnight and in the early morning hours. Police urge residents to lock their cars, and their houses, and not leave garage doors open.
