A support group in North Central Missouri is helping families with autistic children.

Called "GRASP", or "Grand River Autism Support Program", it's meeting once a month and is a forum for parents to hear from autism experts and share tips. Georgia Jackson is a child advocate involved with the program and says around 15 or 20 people attend each month, and the support has been great.

Organizers say parents and others interested are attending from as far away as Trenton and Hamilton. The autism support group meets in Chillicothe at the Farm Credit Service Building. Meetings are the first Tuesday of every month at 6 in the evening.
