News Brief

Winter's Coming

It's finally going to feel like winter the next few days, and by Monday it could look like it too.

The National Weather Service is telling us an arctic air mass is dropping into the Midwest corners region today, dropping temperatures as well all day so that by tomorrow morning, wind chill readings will be negative 10 to negative 20 degrees. They say with those temperatures, people outdoors tomorrow morning are actually going to be in dangerous conditions. It will stay cold through Sunday and then overnight into Monday morning, the snow starts. Forecasters are predicting up to 3 inches of snow starting to fall midnight Sunday and through Monday morning. They say it's still too early to get an exact read on who will get that much snow, but they are calling it the first snowfall for 2012 of real accumulation. As always, you can stay tuned to KXCV KRNW for updated forecasts, and you can check our webpage for road conditions, that's at KXCV.org
