Sheriff Chase

Authorities are still trying to track down at least one suspect on foot after a high speed chase crosses the state border.

The Nodaway County Sheriff says the chase began this morning after a white Hyundai Santa Fe from Burlington Junction in Nodaway county was reported stolen. Officers tried to stop the SUV, which drove into Freemont county, Iowa. Sheriff of Nodaway county , Darren White, says at one point the chase turned even more dangerous.

officers lost the stolen vehicle, then it was discovered crashed and on fire near highway 275 in Freemont county, east of the Nishnabotna River, and the suspect gone. At last word, that search is ongoing.
