Chillicothe Police Department cruisers are getting brighter.
With funding from the "Local Law Enforcement Block Grant" the department purchased 5 new light bars for patrol vehicles. The improved lights will allow law enforcement vehicles to be more visible. Funding for the project was made available by the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant, which is administered by the US Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice and the State of Missouri Department of Public Safety. In total the department received $6,727.50 in grant funding. The city of Chillicothe is paying the remaining 10% of the project.
