Chillicothe R2 Meeting

The Chillicothe R-2 Board of Education met yesterday/Thursday.

The board voted to refinance some bonds, to an average rate of 1.8% which will equate to $882,000 in savings to tax payers this year. Superintendent Dr. Roger Barnes says the bonds are related to a high school.

The board also voted on accepting a local dealership's offer to lease 2 used mini-vans for a $1 lease that will carry through to May 2013.
