Several cities are offering to help dispose of unwanted Christmas Trees.
In St. Joseph, the drop-off point is the parking lot of Drake Softball Field, that's at the northwest corner of 22nd Street and Southwest Parkway. St. Joseph is accepting trees there through January 20th and will chip them for compost. In Maryville there are three tree drop-off locations. Residents can dispose of their trees in the lower parking lot behind City Hall, that's the south west corner of 5th and Vine. They are also being accepted at the Maryville City Street garage at 3rd and Newton and at the transfer station north of town. Trees can be dropped off in Maryville until Monday, January 30th. And in Chillicothe the city municipal crews will be picking up trees throughout next week. Residents can leave them on the curb for pick-up. In all the cities, trees must be free of all wires, lights, ornaments, and tree stands.
