School Mold

A northeast Kanasas school district is discussing what to do about an unwanted intruder: Mold.

Staff in Effingham's USD 377's preschool building noticed mold over Christmas break. Superintendent Steve Wiseman says the kids are starting this semester in a couple of extra classrooms in their central office.

The Effingham School Board had been ready to sell its former central office building but since the extra space is needed during the mold fight that offer has been tabled.
