North Central Reaction

The Missouri governor's call for 12 and a half percent funding cuts to public colleges and universities has leaders at the community college in Trenton re-grouping.

Tuition at North Central Missouri College only covers about 50 to 60% of educational programs, making state aid important. President of North Central Dr. Neil Nuttall says the process on working around Nixon's proposed cuts is important as the final product.

Nuttall says continuous work with the general assembly and the governor could help with finding the best solution for the state. He adds accessibility and affordability and keeping those in reach of North Central stakeholders is important.
