A north east Kansas employer has purchased operations in Indiana that will increase it's capacity for producing beverage alcohol.
MGP Ingredients has bought a distilling company based in Lawrenceburg, Indiana that includes alcohol fermentation and distillation operations, bulk barrel storage facilities, blending operations, and a tank farm. MGP Ingredients says the 11 million dollar purchase allows it to enter into the premium bourbon and whiskey markets, as well as upgrading its distribution capabilities.
