5 people or groups were recognized with chamber awards at the recent Maryville chamber banquet.
The Distinguished Service Award this year went to Bob Bush, who is known for his community involvement through volunteering, the optimist club, and downtown revitalization group. The Chamber's Spearhead Award went to Joyce Cronin who heads the chamber's government affairs committee, which produced it's first legislative agenda this year. The business of the year went to Nodaway Valley Bank, which has employees serving on numerous chamber committees. The Good Citizen Award went to Rod Shain of the Ministry Center Clothes and Food Pantry. And the Community Service Award went to the First United Methodist Church, which was recognized for several projects, including its day of service.
