Great NW Issues

The most pressing issues facing northwest Missouri have been decided as part of the upcoming Great Northwest lobbying effort.

About 350 community leaders from 18 counties are headed to Jefferson City later this month to visit with lawmakers. The top 3 issues are transportation and infrastructure funding, statewide 911 wireless services and unfunded mandates on local entities. Nodaway County coordinator for the effort, chamber director Luke Reven, says a lot of community input went into categorizing the issues.
