Food Prices Up

Food prices in Missouri rose the last quarter of last year.

That's according to a report by the Missouri Farm Bureau. The Bureau's director of education Diane Olson says on average, food prices rose $2.69 since September.

Pat Westhoff directs the state's food and agricultural policy research institute. He believes food prices in Missouri and nationwide have been increasing, but not as much as they had been.

Missouri's average price of food is now almost $3 higher than the national average.
