Elevator Demo

Mild weather is expected to boost this week's efforts at tearing down the destroyed Bartlett Grain Elevator in Atchison Kansas.

Part of that facility was blown apart in an October 29th grain dust explosion that killed 6 people and injured two others. City manager Trey Cocking says it's going to take about another month before the damaged tower is demolished.

Bartlett Grain officials say they plan on re-constructing the elevator just as soon as the rubble from the old one is cleared away.
