Crop Tests

Crop performance tests in Missouri are available.

Trials are run on various types of soybeans and corn crops that are harvested to see how many bushels per acre the area can produce. The tests also help with determining how crops fair with the weather and which ones are resistant to certain insects and nematodes. Results are published in a book to help producers see what crops do the best in the area. Northwest Missouri Regional Agronomist Heather Benedict says the book is very helpful to farmers to learn about the varieties of crops they could produce.
