CDBG Funding

Another 53 million dollars are on the way to Missouri communities impacted by natural disasters last year.

This includes towns flooded by the Missouri River. The money is coming through federal community development block grants, or "CDBG"s. Missouri senator Roy Blunt says using that funding also comes with other advantages.

More than 45 million of the 53 million dollar package is expected to go to Joplin for tornado recovery.
