A community development group hopes temporarily filling empty, downtown St. Joseph store fronts will lead to long term development.

"MOKAN" regional council is recruiting businesses from outside of the neighborhood to operate downtown for the weekend of May 4th and 5th. MOKAN community development planner Matt Buchanan says the goal is to demonstrate the opportunity that exists in downtown St. JOseph.
