MO River Letter

Both of Missouri's senators have sent a letter asking for an federal independent assessment of the Corp's handling of Missouri River Flooding.

Senator Roy Blunt and Claire McCaskill have joined the Missouri River working group in asking the government accountability office to launch an investigation. The working group is made up of federal lawmakers up and down the Missouri River. Senator Blunt says lawmakers are pushing for answers on future management of the levee system, and wants to the government accountability office to develop recommendations for the Corps.

The lawmakers are also wanting answer on how much species concerns and forecasts played in the Corp's decision making.
