Dec. 13, 2011MARYVILLE, MO | By: Harris
The Maryville City Council included its search for a new city manager in its addendum last night.
Amy Strough, the city's Human Resource manager, confirmed the pool of possible candidates is currently numbering around 14. An executive session has been called for December 21st, however, to narrow the field to 3 or 4 candidates. Interviews will be conducted during the first week of January, during which time candidates will meet with the council, community leaders, and department heads. The council also discussed holding a possible meet-and-greet community forum with the final 3 or 4 candidates. Councilman Jackson said it was important for the council to see how the candidates interacted with members of the community. ALthough running slightly behind schedule in making its final decision, the council plans to nominate current city manager Matt LeCerf's successor by January 21st at the latest.
