Guthrie Memorial

Hundreds of law enforcers as far away as Texas attended yesterday's memorial for trooper Fred Guthrie Junior.

He's the Highway Patrol water patrolman who disappeared August 1st in northwest Missouri flood waters near the Missouri River. Despite months of searching he remains missing, the body of his K-9 was found the day after they were presumed drowned. Speaking at the service was Missouri governor Jay Nixon.

Guthrie's uniform and other personal effects along with the cremated remains of this K-9 partner are being buried in Knob Noster, Missouri.
