Flu Shots

The state of Missouri is launching a "Tackle the Flu" campaign.

It's a reminder it's not too late to get flu shot which is being recommended for anyone over 6 months old. Director of Missouri's Health and Senior Services Margaret Donnelly says getting vaccinated does more than just protect you.

Vulnerable populations include senior citizens and children. Donnelley says this week there are only about 2 hundred flu cases confirmed in Missouri. She says the numbers are expected to peak in January and February.
