Officials at St. Joseph's YWCA are hoping for a better year in 2012.

The YWCA has served a record-setting 680 women and children who were victims of domestic violence or homelessness. Executive director Jean Brown says there are several factors that keeping those numbers high.

The YWCA is currently in its annual giving campaign for the shelter for abused and homeless women and children.
