The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Maryville has a new leader.
Larry Lee has been named the director of business development and tenant relations for the business incubator, located at Northwest Missouri State University. Lee comes to the CIE from Kansas City where he's served since 2008 as the director of technology development and commercialization at the University of Missouri Kansas City's Small Business and Technology Development Center. He's also held several other business and marketing roles at UMKC. Lee was an adjunct professor at Northwest from 1996 to 2001 and served as the director of the Small Business Development Center in St. Joseph in the mid-90's. He calls Northwest's CIE a world-class state-of-the-art facility and incubation program. It's also a collaborative space to offer research opportunities to Northwest students. He will take the directorship on February 1st.
