Atchison Officer Memorial

Estimates are up to 2,000 people will be attending today's memorial for slain sergeant David Enzbrenner.

He's the Atchison Police officer shot and killed by a suicide gunman while responding to a nuisance violation. Kansas Governor Sam Brownback has ordered all flags be flown at half staff today. Also on display this morning will be the honor flag, an American flag flown at ground zero after the September 11th attacks. The flag tours the country, being clown to honor emergency responders and military service personnel. It arrived at Kansas City International Airport yesterday afternoon. Sergeant Enzbrenner's service starts at 11 this morning at the gymnasium on the Benedictine College campus in Atchison. He served on the Atchison Police Force for th past 24 years. He's survived by his wife and three daughters.
