Residents are gearing up for winter weather the next few months by winterizing their homes.

Community services in Maryville says weatherization can cut energy consumption by twenty five percent, for the average homeowner that translates to about $450 in saving per year. Local director for housing and energy Glenn Miller says there are simple things residents can consider when weatherizing.

Community Services also has programs to weatherize your home for a reduced price or even free if you quality. Their number is 582-3113.
